Whole-Home Surge Protectors vs. Power Strips

Most people think of a surge protector as the outlet strip under a desk or behind a TV. While those can help protect individual devices, they only cover what’s plugged directly into them.

A whole home surge protector works differently.

Installed directly at your electrical panel, whole home surge protection helps defend your entire electrical system from damaging voltage spikes before they reach appliances, outlets, electronics, and connected equipment throughout the property.

This includes protection for:

HVAC systems
refrigerators
washers & dryers
televisions
computers

smart home devices
kitchen appliances
garage door openers
EV chargers

Where Do Power Surges Come From?

Grid Fluctuations

Power interruptions and restoration events can create sudden voltage spikes.

Severe Weather

Severe weather can cause major electrical surges.

Large Appliances

HVAC systems, refrigerators, and other equipment can create internal surge activity.

Why Above the Code?

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This company is amazing! From the very first encounter with Susan when you call you feel you're in good hands! Brian came out to troubleshoot our problem and even talked to Dominion to explain our issue. There's no sales pressure and Brian and Jeremy worked their magic within two hours, cleaned up and showed me everything along the way. I highly recommend this company for any electrical needs, you won't regret it!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Devon was fantastic to work with! He came to look at our wiring and gave some great advice that made me feel comfortable with our setup, without pushing any unnecessary costs. He also took the extra time to answer a few other questions I had as a new homeowner. He was super informative and kind.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a great experience. We needed an electrician asap and was having a difficult time finding one who could come out quickly. They were able to rearrange their schedule and get someone out asap to help fix our breaker for our heat and i’m very thankful.
